Microsoft SSIS - SQL Server Integration Services - is an ETL platform which replaced Microsoft Data Transformation Services (DTS), introduced in the SQL Server 2005 release.
Microsoft SSIS is bundled with SQL Server 2005 and is a fully scalable, programmable, embeddable, extensible and complex ETL tool. It provides graphical tools and command prompt utilities to manage the databases which are intuitive and easy to learn and can be used to build a complete data warehouse solution.
